Biography
Philip Cheung is a photographer currently based in Toronto. He has recently returned to Canada after
five years in the Middle East where he worked on commissioned and self-initiated projects.
His photographs have been published and exhibited internationally, including The National Portrait Gallery (United Kingdom),
the 2nd Lumix Festival for Young Photojournalism (Germany) and the Flash Forward Festival (Canada) among others.
In 2011, he was named one of PDN’s 30 New and Emerging Photographers to Watch, and has previously been
awarded by the Magenta Foundation, Communication Arts, American Photo, PDN and Applied Arts.
